John Meldrim Obituary

John Waldo Meldrim, age 83, of Meridian, Idaho passed peacefully in the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, in Muskegon, Michigan surrounded by his loving family on May 14, 2025.

Born on Sept. 29, 1941, in Glendale, California, John was known for his passion for environmental science and his years of dedication to both Ichthyological Associates, Inc. and Montgomery Watson Harza Engineering. He loved to fish, barbecue, and travel to new places for adventures with his wife, Priscilla. John was an active member of Grace Anglican Church in Boise, ID. He was a devoted husband, father, and granddad.

John is survived by his wife of 60 years, Priscilla; children, Mark and Brandy Meldrim, Nate and Kristin Meldrim, Mary Lou and Oliver Oatman; grandchildren, Eli, Abby, Andrew (Delaney), Ike, Jonah, Lily, JJ, Zoe, and Maggie. Interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio on Saturday, Aug. 30 at 10 a.m. with a memorial service at Grace Anglican Church in Boise, Idaho at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to Grace Anglican Church, 2940 N. Milwaukee St., Boise, ID 83704 or to the American Fisheries Society where John served on the board for 30 years and was an active member for 60 years.
