Lawrence Leach Obituary

Lawrence (Larry) E. Leach, 76, a lifelong resident of Pleasantville, Ohio, passed away in Lancaster, Ohio on Oct. 21, 2024.

Larry was the eldest son of Karroll Leach and Esther (Scheidegger) Leach of Pleasantville, Ohio. Larry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jane (Ash) Leach; daughters, Hayley (Matthew) Neal, Charity (Josh) Spruill, and Faith (Matthew) Shaffer; grandchildren, Grayson Neal, Harper Neal, Hope Shaffer, and Petra Spruill; siblings, Diane (Dave) Kennedy, Mary (Larry) Ventresco, and Mike (Kris) Leach; and several dear nieces, nephews and cousins.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

Larry was a 1966 graduate of Fairfield Union. Larry has enjoyed a life of singing and playing the bass. He sang with many groups, including the New Life Quartet, the Songsmen, Justified, Cornerstone, Anna Allen & Traditional Plus, By Chance, and Second Chance.

Many remember Larry as an avid marching Falcon fan and alumnus. While his daughters were in school, in addition to leading many cheers, he also ran the popcorn machine and was a chaperone to many band events.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, Oct. 24 from 6-8 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 25 from 1-3 p.m., with service following at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home, 436 North Broad St., Lancaster, Ohio 43130. In lieu of flowers please bring a can of dog food or make a donation to the Fairfield County Humane Society. Lawrence "Larry" Leach
