Robert Zickefoose Obituary

Robert Dale Zickefoose, aged 69, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away at the Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025.

Born March 25, 1956 in Zanesville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Lewis Dale Zickefoose and Earlene Sue (Johnston) Barber.

During life, Robert worked as a mechanic at General Electric in Logan, Ohio for over 30 years before retiring. He was a proud member of the United States Army National Guard. He was also a member of Gateway Outreach Ministries in Logan, Ohio. An avid outdoorsman, Robert greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. Those that knew him loved him, and he will be sorely missed.

Robert is survived by his wife, Karen Zickefoose; daughters, Amy Lynn Appel and Savanna Abram; stepchildren, Darian Rowles and Jon Bresler; and grandchildren, Devin and Payton Appel, Dominic and Isabella Abram, Christian Zickefoose, and Dominick, Brennan, Braxton, and Branson Rowles.

Aside from his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Robin Zickefoose; sisters, Debbie Watson and Lorilynn Enderle; and infant son, Christopher Robert Zickefoose.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held at noon on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025 at Gateway Outreach Ministries, 10190 Frasure-Helber Road, Logan, OH 43138.
