Wilbur Barlow Obituary
Born Aug. 6, 1949, in Logan, Ohio, he was the son of the late Wilbur Allen "Bud" Barlow and Betty Louise (Largent) Barlow.
Denny was a 1967 graduate of Logan High School and dedicated member of the Kroger family from 1966-2007, where he retired as produce manager after 41 years of service. He was also co-owner/operator of Pyrofax LP Barlow Bottled Gas in White Cottage, Ohio in the early to mid 1970's. Denny was known as a "Jack of All Trades" by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl Ranae (Risen) Barlow, as they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 2 of this year; one son, Kevin D. (Rebecca) Barlow of Lancaster, Ohio; one daughter, Amy D. (John) McCormick of Amanda, Ohio; four grandchildren, Emily and Cody McCormick and Chloe and Carson Barlow; four sisters, Mary Ann (Randy) McGlothlin of Cincinnati, Ohio, Sharon (Bruce) Henning of Lancaster, Ohio, Brenda (Danny) Cottrill of Logan, Ohio and Debbie (Gary) Kanode of Lancaster, Ohio; three brothers, Jerry (Conda) Barlow of Lancaster, Ohio, Tim (Tisa) Barlow of Logan, Ohio and Terry (Jewell) Barlow of McArthur, Ohio; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Barlow of New Lexington, Ohio.
Besides his parents, Denny was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Barlow.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 3 at Roberts Funeral Home in Logan with Rev. Thomas L. Gates III officiating.
Burial will follow in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Good Hope Township, Hocking County, Ohio.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Denny's family suggests donations in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116.
