ALFRED GENZARDI Obituary

Alfred Genzardi, 82, passed away on May 30th 2009 at his home in Vero Beach, FL. He was born on October 1st 1926 in Manhattan, NY. He lived in Vero Beach and Ft. Pierce, FL for twenty three years coming from New City, NY. Alfred was a Senior Insurance Claims Examiner, Manager and Union Shop Chairman at Amalgamated Life Ins. Co. for 30 years in New York City. Mr. Genzardi was of the Catholic faith. He graduated from James Monroe High School in the Bronx, NY. He was a former President of Spanish Lakes Country Club Homeowners Association where he also served as President of the Italian American Club and the Music Makers Club. In addition he ran the billiards tournaments and was actively involved in the poker games at Spanish Lakes Country Club. Before moving to Florida Alfred ran the Bingo Program at St. Augustine Catholic Church in New City, NY for over 25 years. He was an avid Yankees Fan as well. He was a former member of the Elks Club in Florida and New York. Survivors include his wife of 59 years Connie Genzardi of Vero Beach, FL; his son Joe Genzardi of New City, NY; his brother Tony Genzardi of New York and his three grandchildren Nicole, Patrick, Danny. He was predeceased by his brother John Genzardi. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, June 6th at 10am at St. Augustine Catholic Church in New City, New York. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice 901 37th Street Vero Beach, FL 32960.
