ANNA VANEK

Anna Vanek, age 96, a longtime resident of Hastings-on-Hudson, died Friday, July 5, 2002 at her home in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. Anna was born in Rockland Lake, NY on May 20, 1906 to the late Theresa (nee Vach) and the late Thomas Fajtlin. On September 5, 1937, she married the late Andrew S. Vanek, who predeceased her in 1995. She was the loving mother of Mrs. Rose Ann Utchel, of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, and the late Andrew J. Vanek, who died in 1989. She was a dear mother-in-law to David A. Utchel and the devoted grandmother of Elena Cervera, Richard Vanek, Rose Marie Conway, Kathleen, David and Christine Utchel, and the beloved great-grandmother of Lynea and Steven Cervera, Dylan Vanek and Nadia Conway. She is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews. Friends and family may gather at the Hastings Funeral Home, Inc, 15 Spring Street, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY on Sunday, July 7, 2002 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Mass Monday, July 8, 2002 at 10am at St. Matthew R.C. Church, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. Interment follows at Mount Hope Cemetery.
