ANNUNZIATA LAGANA Obituary

Annunziata Lagana, a resident of Rye Brook, entered the gates of heaven on May 2, 2009. She was 75 and was born August 10, 1933 in Scillia, Reggio Calabria, Italy to the late Fillipo and Antonia Varbaro Sacrfone. She was raised and educated in Italy and immigrated to the United States February 22, 1966. She was married October 8, 1966 to Pietro Lagana at Saint Joseph's Church in New Rochelle, NY. Mrs. Lagana was a seamstress for the Kay Chester Dress Company in Port Chester and was also an assisant for the Convent of the Sacred Heart School in Greenwich, Ct. Mrs. Lagana was a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester. She is survived by her husband Pietro Lagana of Rye Brook, NY., daughters Maria Giuliani and her husband Robert of Thornwood, NY., and Antoinette Martorano and her husband James of Ridgewood, NJ., grandchildren Alexa, Gregory and Ava Giuliani and Zachary and Aidan Martorano, sisters Mariana Arbitrio of Italy, Grazia Patafio and Giuseppina Onorino both of New Rochelle, NY and many nieces and nephews She was predeceased by her brothers Giovanni and Clemente Scarfone. Visitation will be 4-9PM today Monday May 4, 2009 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30AM on Tuesday May 5, 2009 at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Entombment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation 5005 LBJ Freeway Suite 250 Dallas TX 75244.
