ANTHONY ERCOLE Obituary

Anthony P. Ercole of West Haverstraw died Friday, February 8th at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern. He was 85. Me. Ercole was born on January 9, 1923, the son of Ascenzio Ercole and Maria (Pelle) Ercole. During World War II, Anthony served in the Army in the CBI (China-Burma-India) theater. He was retired from Plumbers & Pipe Fitters Union 373, and also worked many years for the US Maritime Commission on the Hudson River Reserve Fleet in Jones Point. He is survived by his former wife Mary Ercole (Biamonte) of Stony Point, his daughter Nancy Preizler of Southbury, CT, his two sons Christopher (Teresa) of Penfield, and Paul (Katrina) of Camillus, two sisters Rose Moorehead of Delaware, OH and Jeanette Burson of Waukegan, IL, many nieces and nephews, grandchildren Ryan, Scott, Jennifer (Michael), Jaclyn (Eric), Brendan, Mick, William, Michael, and two great-grandchildren Jake and Cassie. Anthony was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Ercole, two half-brothers Angelino and Ernest Porry, his sister-in-law Marry Porry, and his son-in-law Ted Preizler. A service will be held at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home Friday February 15, 2008 at 10:00 AM prior to interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, Haverstraw. Friends may call at the TJ McGowans & Sons Funeral Home, Haverstraw on Thursday February 14, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Heart Association.
