Armando D'Onofrio Obituary
Armando "Monty" D'Onofrio, 89, passed away peacefully at his home in Florida on January 27, 2020 surrounded by family. He was born on January 1, 1931 in Colledimezzo, Italy to Nicola D'Onofrio and Antonia D'Ippolito. He married Cornell DiRenzo on February 25, 1954 and moved to New Rochelle, NY where he co-owned and operated Cherry Lawn Farm with his family.
He loved his business, but his passions were music and also gardening. He was always smiling and singing. In his retirement, he spent summers with his wife in his hometown of Colledimezzo, Italy where he loved entertaining, playing the accordion, and singing. His gardens were a reflection of who he was, a beautiful soul who adored his wife and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Cornell; his 4 children, Ronald, Susanne, Kathy, and Armando; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be held at Sts. John and Paul in Larchmont, NY on February 22, 2020, at 11:00 AM.

Father Roe and I send our condolences to the entire family. Mr. D was such a wonderful and kind man. We (the Scelza girls) will always have fond memories of him as he was an integral part of our childhood both at school, and at the Farm. Love and prayers to all of you.
