ARTHUR D'ORNELLAS Obituary

D'ORNELLAS, ARTHUR Arthur D'Ornellas, a retired member of the international Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a retired EMT Instructor at Rockland County Fire Training School died May 14, 2005. He died in Jersey Shore Medical Center due to complications following a stroke. He was 84. Mr. D'Ornellas was a volunteer of the Nyack Ambulance Corp. for over 20 years. He also worked on the construction of Lake DeForrest Reservoir. He dedicated time as a member of the DE MAT TEAM. Surviving is his wife, Mary D'Ornellas. He leaves three daughters: Arlene Engle of Lakeland, Florida, Madelene Geuther of Scottsdale, Arizona and Lisa Hart of Ocala, Florida. He also has two sons: John deOrnellas of Ocala, Florida and Andrew deOrnellas of Reading, PA. He is loved by nine grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He will be buried Friday, May 20th along side his mother, brother and sister in Lutheran Cemetery in Middle Village, New York. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 20 at the Nyack Community Ambulance Corp. at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Arthur's name can be sent to Nyack Ambulance Corp. a scholarship fund will be set up. Arthur's children thank you for your donations, prayers and good thoughts.
