Barney Di Domizio Obituary
Barney Di Domizio of Queensbury, formerly of Ossining died peacefully at home on Nov. 9, 2014, he was 87. He was born Aug. 19, 1927 in Ossining to Bernardino & Rosina (DiSilvio) Di Domizio. Barney served in the US Army during WWII. He worked as a pipe fitter for the NYCRR in Croton-Harmon and later for IBM in Security. Barney is survived by Betty, his wife of 60 years, sons Stephen (Danielle), Robert (Maureen), daughter Rosemary Sherman (Dan), son-in-law Vincent Palmiotto, brother (Freddy), grandchildren Jill & Danny Palmiotto and Amanda & Christopher Di Domizio. Barney was predeceased by his daughter Joanne Palmiotto. He will be reposing Fri. 2-4 & 6:30-8:30pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc., 32 State St., Ossining. Mass of Christian Burial Sat. 10am at St. Ann's Church, 25 Eastern Ave., Ossining. Burial in St. Augustine's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Ann's Church appreciated.

To Joanne and family. I did not know that your Dad passed away. I just heard. I saw Mario at my Dads funeral in June. My father and Uncle Tony were good friends with Barney. Very sorry for your loss. Fort DiRenno.

Betty (Mom) and family. I know I said a few words at the gathering after the funeral yesterday, but I may not have adequately expressed everything that I wanted to get across.
I just wanted to thank both you Mom, and Barney (Dad) for being the most incredible, loving, and giving grandparents anyone (parent or grandchild) could ever possibly ask for.

Betty - I am sorry to hear of Barney's passing. He was a good and friendly man. I used to enjoy him when he came into St. Ann's. He always had a smile and was ready to do anything to help the parish. You and Barney are in my prayers.
