CAROLE BIRD Obituary

Carole Ann Bird (nee Henry) passed away on July 26, 2009, in Madison, Wisconsin. Carole was born in Nyack, New York on July 25, 1945 to Helen Gross Henry and Martin Henry. She grew up in New City, NY and attended the Pearl River Seventh Day Adventist church. Carole lived with her children in Washington, DC for many years while she worked at Georgetown University before finally settling in Wisconsin. Carole is survived by her mother Helen of Fort Pierce, FL, her daughter Stephanie Bond of NYC, her son Jonathan Bird and his wife and their two children of Goodyear, AZ, and her two brothers, John and Robert. Carole adored her children and grandchildren. She surrounded herself with pictures of her family so that she could always feel close to them although often separated by distance. Carole's family, friends and faith were the center of her life. Carole will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers please send donations to "My Happy Happy Home" c/o Cynthia Ragland, 1811 Fisher St, Madison, WI 53713. Funeral Services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Nyack, New York at 10:30 a.m. on October 16, 2009.
