CAROLINE MEIR

Caroline Meir, of Peekskill, NY, passed away on May 30, 2006. She was 79. Mrs. Meir was an office manager for the Franciscan Sisters at Mount Saint Francis in Peekskill for thirty-five years, retiring last year. Mrs. Meir was born on April 18, 1927 in Tuckahoe, NY to Angelo and Angela Cavuoto. On October 8, 1950, she married John Meir at Assumption Church, Tuckahoe, NY. She is survived by her children, Barbara (Peter) Sollecito of Walden, NY, Lorraine Meir of Amsterdam, NY, John Meir of Parkland, FL and Gary (Liz) Meir of Mohegan Lake, NY. Also survived by a brother Amerigo Cavuoto of Tuckahoe, NY and seven grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John Meir in 1997. Visiting hours are Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass is Friday, 10 am, at Mount St. Francis Chapel, 250 South Street, Peekskill, NY.
