CATHERINE T. TAMUK

Catherine (Kay) T. Tamuk (nee Barca) of Hastings-on-Hudson died on Sunday, February 23, 2003 at age 82. Born on June 17, 1920 to Angelo and Caterina (Natoli) Barca in Yonkers where she was raised and educated. On March 28, 1943 she married Alexander P. Tamuk in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, he died in 1981. Kay was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis at Sacred Heart for over 42 years, also with the Senior Citizens of Hastings and volunteer for over 15 years with Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry. She was also a parishioner of both Holy Rosary and St. Matthew's Church and a daily communicant for over 50 years. Mrs. Tamuk is survived by her three children Mrs. Robert (Mary Anne) Stelben of Darien, CT, Alex Tamuk of Port Jefferson and Mrs. Thomas (Kathleen) Rosselli of Poughkeepsie. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Christine, Robert, Michelle, Peter, Chelsea, Kristina and Thomas and her sister Rose Inverarity of Yonkers. Kay was predeceased by Thomas, Angelo, Joseph, Nancy and Mary Barca. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday, February 26th at 9:30 am. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations may be made to Cabrini Nursing Home, Broadway, Dobbs Ferry, NY.
