Sue Wilkins Obituary

NEW ALBANY WILKINS, SUE BAILEY, 99, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Riverview Nursing Home in Clarksville, IN.

She was the former Sue Mason, a native of Adairville, KY., a retired School Teacher from S. Ellen Jones and Green Valley Elementary Schools where she primarily taught 5th Grade. She was a member of the Silver Hills Garden Club, Central Christian Church, a former Social Worker and also worked at the Charlestown Ammunition Plant during World War II. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd Goffinett and Merritt Wilkins, her parents, Fain and Anna Mason, three brothers, Thomas , David and James Mason, and three sisters, Martha Blewett, Frances Rice and Jean LeSeure.

Other survivors include: her stepson, Larry Wilkins (Susan), 2 nieces and 2 nephews, a brother-in-law, J.B. LeSeure, two grandchildren, Stephanie Stach (Jason), Stephen Wilkins, two great-grandchildren, Evan and Alex Stach.

Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday November 10, 2009 at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes (1119 E. Market Street) with burial in SCI-Graceland Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. 1 p.m. Tuesday before the service.

Larry, Carl and I are very sorry for the loss of your step-mom. It is hard to believe that many of us have parents in their nineties. What a long life she has had. Our sympathy is with you and your family. Carl and Rona Garriott Loweth, Bettendorf, Iowa.
