Johnston, Christine T.

Christine T. Johnston a resident of Rye Brook, NY died June 9, 2011. She was 93 and was born April 28, 1918 in Greenwich, CT. to the late Daniel and Anna Baran Trgala. She was raised and educated in Greenwich graduating from Greenwich High School. She was married to Thomas Johnston on September 7, 1946 in Byram, CT. Mr. Johnston died December 9, 1992. Mrs. Johnston was a homemaker and a member of the Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Byram, CT. She is survived by her sons Thomas Johnston and wife Nancy of Columbia, MD., and Richard Johnston and wife Rossana of Ridgefield, CT., 5 grandchildren and sister Judith Davis of Mesa, AZ., niece Fay Hellman of Port Chester, NY., and great niece Kimberly Hellman of Florida. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her sisters Lee Africa and Anne Latimer. Visitation will be at the Craft Memorial Home, Inc. from 4-8PM on Sunday June 12, 2011. Funeral service will be 10AM on Monday June 13, 2011 at the Saint Paul Lutheran Church 286 Delavan Ave. Greenwich, CT. Interment to follow at Putnam Cemetery Greenwich, CT., In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be to the Saint Paul Lutheran Church or to the charity of ones choice.
