Daniel McGillicuddy Obituary

Daniel "Mack" McGillicuddy, Jr., of Stony Point, left us for a better place on Tuesday, May 28, 2002. He was born in Nyack on September 10, 1948 to Viola Izzo and Daniel McGillicuddy, Sr. He grew up in Orangeburg and Tappan and graduated from Tappan Zee High School. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Cookie (Zoccoli), his sons Daniel III and Rickey of Stony Point and his mother Viola Herring of Sparkill. He will be deeply missed by his family including Rickey and Ange Zoccoli of Nyack, Don and Sylvia Diehl of Stony Point, Don, Sandy and Derek Diehl of Connecticut, Dana, Mike and Makayla Puccio of Stony Point, and many other relatives and friends. Dan retired from Verizon after 33 years of service. He proudly served as a past Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President of CWA Local 1107. He was also involved as a coach in both youth hockey and the Stony Point Little League. He was a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church in Stony Point, where he was involved in the choir and the Parish Players. Dan will be remembered for his wit, generosity and love of family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 31st, at 1pm at Immaculate Conception Church in Stony Point. Visiting hours are scheduled for Thursday 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. in Nyack. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jose A.
