David Troy Jones

Nyack - David Troy Jones, a resident of Nyack, NY, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018. David was born on May 31, 1967 in Nyack and was the son of Virginia Jones Cason and Alvin Harris.

He attended Nyack Public Schools, and was "Loved" by many of his fellow classmates throughout the years. David was gainfully employed as a Lead Utility Operator at Pfizer in Pearl River, New York for over 24 years, until the plant closed in 2016, David was the go to guy for many of his co-workers on his shift throughout his entire career.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Charlene Jones of 25 years; sons, Aaron and Christopher Jones of the home; his devoted mother, Virginia Cason of Haverstraw, NY; three loving sisters: Verna Cason of Haverstraw, NY, Vernita Cason of Detroit, MI and Sparkle Harris of Nyack, NY; one devoted brother, James (Claire) Jones of West Haverstraw, NY; maternal grandparents, Frank and Virginia Jones of Nyack, NY; several aunts and uncles, Vivian & Lawrence Jones of Brooklyn, NY; Velvett and Rod Cotton of Grand Prairie, TX; Frank Jr. & Gloria Jones of Nyack, NY; Michael Jr. & Mary Jane Jones of Bluffton, SC; Paul Jones Sr. of Nyack, NY; Rose & James Irvin of Nanuet, NY; Sabrina Allen of Haverstraw, NY; George Jones, Sr. of Nyack, NY; Doris & Otis Chenault of Atlanta, GA; Elizabeth & Larry Clemmons of Atlanta, GA; Ethel & Andrew Williams of Palo Alto, CA; stepfather, Vernon Cason of Virginia Beach, VA; Larry Harris of Haverstraw, NY; one niece and five nephews whom he adored; Shaunyce Jones, Lonnie Cason and Cornell Jones of Haverstraw, NY; Saiquan Dixon, Jahki Harris and Josiah Dixon, all of Nyack, NY. One godchild Shuryon Wellons of Central Nyack, NY. David had a host of cousins who he had a personal relationship with, family and friends who he cherished dearly; truly a family man. He was preceded in death was his paternal grandmother, Edith Harris; father Alvin Harris; sister, Vernell Cason and brother, Alvin Harris, Jr.; aunts and uncles: William Allen, Adeline Jones, Maria Jones and Mabel & Lee Armstrong, and Bill Harris.

Mr. Jones will repose 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2018 at First Church, 187 Main Street, Nyack, NY. Service 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the church. Pastor Paul Jones, Officiating.
