David Vaillancourt Obituary

Vaillancourt, David B.

David B. Vaillancourt was the kindest, most loving, caring and devout rock of his Joan, Bobby and his Catherine and Katie and her Brad. He was the happiest man everyday of his life. He went to Church everyday and came home to his loving family every night for great times, especially for Tuesday Night Dinner. If all men, women and children were like our David, it would be paradise on Earth. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The David B. Vaillancourt Scholarship Fund at Kennedy Catholic High School, 54 Route 138, Somers, NY 10589.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Monday 10:00 AM Church of St. Matthew, R.C. 616 Warburton Avenue, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706.

Visiting Sunday 2-4 & 7-9PM, Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Ave., Dobbs Ferry, NY.

I knew David quite well. We grew up together and lived on the same street (Manhattan Ave) in Hawthorne, NY. We went to the same schools together; Holy Rosary in Hawthonre and Stepinac HS in White Plains. We spent many hours riding bikes, hiking (we once, with a couple of other friends, hiked from Hawthorne to the Hudson river, near Phelps Memorial Hospital and back! Quite a long trip, but it was fun. We also played baseball, football and other childrens' games while living in Hawthorne. I lost touch with David when we moved to Thornwood. He was a very friendly person and I am proud to list him as a friend. He will be missed. I want to extend my condolences to his wife, his children and to his family members.
