DENNIS SHORTAL Obituary

Dennis Shortal June 19, 1937 to June 25, 2009. The best guy in the whole world passed away on June 25, 2009. He was the kindest, most generous man ever. The world will never be the same without him. Dennis died after a courageous battle with various health conditions. He just celebrated his 50th Wedding Anniversary with his loving wife Cheryl. Dennis has been a life long resident of Congers. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl, three daughters and their families, Heidi of Haverstraw, Lynn and Brad Cravello of Maybrook, NY and Jill and Michael Cotier of Thiells, NY. The loves of his life were his grandchildren, Alison, Greg and Danielle Cravello, and Ashley and Ean Cotier. He enjoyed spending time with them. Dennis is predeceased by his parents Mary and James, his five sisters Lorraine Shortal, Norma Dunnigan, Auddie Magnatta, Phyllis Lindemann and Doris Nelsen and three brothers, Mel, Douglas and Wally Shortal. To know Dennis was to love him. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Higgins Funeral Home, New City, NY. A Mass will be held on Monday 11 AM at St. Paul's Church, Congers, NY. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, Rockland Lake, NY. Donations can be made in his memory to The American Lung Association. MICHAEL J.
