Egidio Caricati Obituary
Pleasantville - Egidio Caricati, 84, of Pleasantville died after a long illness the evening of December 7, 2017. Egidio is survived by his loving wife, Angela; his daughter Rose (Rich); son Nick (Kerri); and his 6 grandchildren; Josh, Lisa (Chris), Laura, Jake, Haley and Tyler.
Egidio was born and raised in Castelluccio Inferiore, Italy by Nicola Caricati and Rosa Goia-Caricati. Egidio came over to the United States in 1967 and moved to Yonkers, NY. Thereafter, Egidio bought a home in Pleasantville in 1974 where he raised his two children. Egidio worked for the Local Laborers Union #235 for fifty years.
Egidio was a member of the Italian America Club in Thornwood, New York. He enjoyed gardening, making his own wine, and spending time with friends and family. Egidio was often seen walking the streets of Pleasantville, and was an avid member of the community. He will be sincerely missed.
The family will receive friends today (Sunday) at the Beecher Flooks Funeral Home in Pleasantville from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Innocents R.C. Church on Monday, December 11, 2017 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum in Hartsdale, NY.
