Eileen O'Brien Obituary
Eileen O'Brien (Fitzgerald) of Stony Point, NY, 74 years old passed away at home on April 28, 2016. Eileen was born in Bronx, NY on January 19, 1942 to Nora (Keenaghan) and Maurice Fitzgerald. She graduated from Cathedral High School and married John O'Brien in 1962. She moved to Stony Point in 1970 and was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church. She worked as a licensed practical nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital. She is survived by her sons John (Shari) of Stony Point, NY, Francis of Stony Point, NY, Thomas (Patricia) of Sugar Loaf, NY and her daughter Catherine-Ann Knudsen (Thomas) of Orange, CT, her sister Sister Kathleen Fitzgerald, her grandchildren Nicole and Cassidy O'Brien and Thomas, Christine and Matthew Knudsen, in addition to many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John, her parents Nora and Maurice, her stepfather Francis Magarahan, and her sisters Mary Boyle and Rita Costello.
Family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in Stony Point, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00am at Immaculate Conception Church in Stony Point. Followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY
