Tamilio, Ellen Jane

Ellen Jane Tamilio, Longtime resident of Eastchester passed away on July 12, 2014 at the age of 65. She was born in Bronxville, NY on July 22, 1948 to the late Edward John and Cecelia (Monaghan) Tierney. Ellen worked for many years as a case manager for the New York State Insurance Fund, and also taught part time for more than 20 years at the night school GED at A.B. Davis School in Mt. Vernon. Ellen is survived by her sisters, Catherine Tierney, Maureen Melton and a brother Edward F. Tierney (Sue) and his family. She is also survived by her dear friends and neighbors. Along with her parents she was predeceased by her husband Richard Tamilio in 2011. The family will receive friends on Wednesday July 16, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. Eastchester. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 17, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe. Interment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Ellen's name may be made to the Humane Society of your choice, or the cure for Pancreatic Cancer, curepc.org. You may leave the family an online condolence at www.westchesterfuneralhome.com
