HELEN VAN STEENBERG Obituary

of Sun City, AZ, formerly of Chappaqua, passed away on February 18, 2003. Helen was born in NYC to Peter J. and Helen Engeldrum on April 18, 1906. Helen married Arthur Van Steenberg on August 25, 1928. Arthur predeceased her March 25, 1973. Mr. Van Steenberg was one of the founding members of Whippoorwill Country Club in Armonk, where Helen was an active golfer. Helen is survived by her daughter Carol (Van) Geoghegan of Tarrytown, 3 grandchildren, Gregg Geoghegan of Hartsdale, Pamela Geoghegan of Tarrytown and Jeffrey Van Steenberg of Illinois. She also is survived by great-grandchildren Jasmine & Gabrielle of Illinois and Jake and Harley Geoghegan of Hartsdale.She was predeceased by her son Peter, November 4, 1991. Interment will be in Saugerties, NY at the convenience of the family. Donations are being made by family and friends to Christ Church, Tarrytown, NY 10591.
