F. Zeh Obituary
F. Gary Zeh a lifelong resident of Haverstraw, New York passed away August 25, 2014.
Gary was very community minded having joined the Boy Scout Troop, 18 of Haverstraw in his youth, and he continued to serve his country and his beloved community throughout his life. He served his country in the New York National Guard, and received the "Soldier of the Year" award. Gary was best known as the owner of Haverstraw Transit, Inc... He was the Chief Chauffeur of Rescue Hook and Ladder Co. #1 as well as a life member of his company and the RCVFA. He was a former Trustee, head usher and devoted parishioner of St. Peters' Church. Gary was on the Board of Directors of the Provident Bank; he served as President of the New York School Bus Contractors Assoc. and was awarded "Contractor of the Year" in 1992. Gary was also recognized as Business Man of the Year by the Rockland Business Association. He was admired and loved by his community and generous to a fault. Gary was a devoted father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his closest family members and friends. Gary was predeceased by his devoted, loving wife Mary. He is survived by his cherished daughter Renee Zeh-Garrison and son-in-law Dale. Also, three loving grandchildren, Steven, Alisa and Sofia. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Firematic Services will be held at 7:30 PM Thursday evening at the George M. Holt Funeral Home, 50 New Main Street, Haverstraw, NY. Gary's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, August 29, 2014 at 10 AM at St. Peters Church, Haverstraw, NY. Burial will follow at Mt Repose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Peters Church or the Alzheimer's Association

While attending college , Gary helped me out tremendously by giving me a job driving the sports busses in the afternoons. Having just been married it was a great help to Pat & I to have that income in our early years. A very good Man !
