Frances Gisondi Obituary
Harrison - Frances Gisondi (Franny Girl), 88, passed away peacefully at her home Friday, June 25th. She was born in Mt. Vernon, NY on September 9, 1932 to the late Antonio Philip & Antoinette Nastasi. She married her husband of 65 years, Peter Gisondi, on February 14, 1954 at Mt. Carmel Church in White Plains. Frances was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother who had an infectious smile and lit up a room when she walked into it. Anyone that knew her, knew her love for and collection of owls and porcelain dolls. Frances is survived by her sons Anthony (Eleanor), Peter (Lisa), and John (Maria); her daughter Grace (Greg); 15 grandchildren: John (Christie), Clarissa (Adam), Shanique, Salina, Peter III (Nicole), Gino, Anthony (DiAnna), Nicholas, James, Christian, John Jr, Jake, Andrew, Daniel, & Jaclyn; 7 great grandchildren: Gia, Gianna, Avery, Devyn, Peter IV, Carmine, & Anthony Jr; and her sister, Annie. She was predeceased by her husband, her daughter, Lisa, her grandson, William, her brothers Frank, Joseph, and Philip (her Twin), and her sisters Rosemarie, Gloria, & Elizabeth. For the past 10 years, Frances enjoyed the company of her companion and caregiver, Anna Bartosiewicz. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 26th from 9 - 11 am at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home in White Plains, followed by a prayer service at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association. alz.org
