KATHRYN BACHMAN SWANSON

Kathryn Bachman Swanson, a lifelong resident of Sleepy Hollow died peacefully September 9, 2006 at the age of 102. Kathryn was born October 30, 1903 in North Tarrytown. She was the daughter of Peter and Anna Espersen Bachman. She was a graduate of North Tarrytown High School. In 1930, she married Alfred C. Swanson who died in 1976. In 1948, she joined the arrytown National Bank & Trust Co. (now J. P. Morgan Chase) in the mortgage department and she retired in 1966. She was a communicant of St. Teresa of Avila Church, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court Cherubim #108 and the Sleepy Hollow Seniors. Kathryn is survived by her daughter Doris Murray of Tarrytown, two granddaughters Carol Moneymaker of Menands, NY, and Lisa Ragatz of Santa Monica, CA; a grandson Thomas Murray of Pound Ridge, NY, and two sons-in-law, Robert Murray and Dexter Ragatz. She is also survived by three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Carol Ragatz and her grandsons Michael agatz and Robert Murray. Visitation will be at COFFEY FUNERAL HOME on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday at 10:00 at St. Teresa of Avila Church with interment to follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
