Belloni, Francine A.
Francine A. Belloni, 64, of Carmel, NY, passed into eternal life on August 17, 2016 after a valiant struggle with lung cancer. Fran was born on June 29, 1952 to Francis P. (Frank) and Frances (Asaro) Belloni in Manhattan, NY. She attended St. John the Baptist grammar school in Yonkers, Maria Regina High School and Blessed Sacrament Academy (Yonkers), and the Katherine Gibbs School. Fran was employed at PepsiCo in Purchase, NY and, more recently Somers, NY, for more than 44 years, from 1971 until her retirement in April of this year. She held many positions at Pepsi, mostly as an executive administrative assistant in several different departments including mergers & acquisitions, marketing, and the North American beverage customer service division. Not only did Fran learn and support much of Pepsi's operations, but she came to know most of PepsiCo's employees. She had friends and contacts throughout the company, which not only made her a very effective administrator, but also bonded her to a large and loving "family." It would be an exaggeration to say that Fran never met a person she didn't like. It would not be an exaggeration, however, to say that if Fran met you and liked you, you and she immediately became friends for life. Fran enjoyed peace and quiet, relaxed vacations at the Maryland shore, and exploring the tranquil and beautiful Hudson Valley with her beloved Bob. On the other hand, whenever there was a party, she not only enthusiastically joined in the fun, but more often than not, led the revelry. She loved spending time with her friends and family. She loved all animals, such as the Guiding Eyes dogs she fostered, and especially her cherished cats, Charlie, Roxie and Rosie. She enjoyed shopping and good food, and had a passion for lighthouses and penguins. The lighthouse and penguin motifs dominated her décor, and she visited many lighthouses along the entire East Coast. Penguins, she visited mostly in aquariums.
In addition to her longtime companion Bob Loconto of Carmel, Fran is survived by her loving brother Frank and sister-in-law Maggie Belloni of Carmel, nephew Ben (Arwen) Belloni of South Salem, grandnieces Kassandra and Taylor Belloni, grandnephews Hason and Jaelen Ferrebee, several goddaughters including Donna Roberts, Suzanne Rotchford and Rita Lopez, many loving cousins from all corners of the country, countless dear friends, and numerous "adopted" nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved parents Frank and Frances, whom she now joins in heaven. She was a warm-hearted, generous, devoted, and fun-loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend and will be sorely missed by all who loved her. Yet, our memories of her and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live and grow in our hearts.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc., 10 Fowler Avenue, Carmel, NY 10512.
