FRANK PERILLI Obituary

Frank "Tony" Perilli of Elmsford, 68, retired Chief of Police-Dobbs Ferry, died on March 24, 2001 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. Mr. Perilli worked as a Chief of Police for the Dobbs Ferry Police Department. He was with the department for 34 years before retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Westchester County Police Chief's Association. Mr. Perilli was born on May 18, 1932 in Elmsford, NY to Frank Perilli and Marietta Berucchi Perilli. He was educated in Elmsford and graduated from Alexander Hamilton High School in 1950. Mr. Perilli served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955, attaining the rank of Airman. Mr. Perilli lived in Calabash, NC and Elmsford for the last 5 years. Before that he lived in Elmsford from 1932 to 1996. Locally, he was a Past President of the Elmsford Board of Education. Also a member of the American Italian Club of Elmsford. Mr. Perilli will be remembered for being an avid golfer. He is survived by two sons, Frank Perilli of Venice, FL and David Perilli of Elmsford; one brother, Vincent Perilli of Ossining, formerly of Elmsford; one sister, Angelina Passarella of White Plains; and grandchildren, Jenna and Frankie Perilli of Venice, FL. Calling hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at McElroy-Flynn Funeral Home, 72 E. Main St., Elmsford, NY (914)592-6300 . The funeral mass is Thursday, 10:30 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Elmsford.
