FRANK SALIERNO Obituary

Frank A. Salierno, Sr, a longtime resident of Somers, NY, died April 19, 2001 at Northern Westchester Hospital. He was 76. Mr. Salierno Sr, worked as a clerk for the A&P Supermarket in Goldens Bridge before retiring in 1988. Mr. Salierno Sr was born April 24, 1924 in Olphant, PA, to Joseph Salierno and Anna Messanchello. Mr. Salierno served in the Army during World War II. On June 30, 1946, he married Ann Justino in Mt. Vernon, NY. Mr. Salierno Sr lived in Somers, NY for the past 26 years. Before that he lived in Mt. Vernon. Locally he was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Croton Falls, NY. He is survived by his wife Anne, his daughter Barbara Miraglia (Dr. Ben Miraglia, Jr.) and his son, Frank, Jr, and his sister, Ida Biddulph. Also survived by his grandchildren, Bettina Miraglia, Esq., David and Jason and great-granddaughter, Madison. Family members who died earlier include his brother, Dominick. Calling hours are Saturday 7-9 and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc, 418 Route 6, Mahopac, NY, (845)628-5655. The funeral is Monday, 10 am at St. Joseph's Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may send memorial donations to Hospice of Northern Westchester and Putnam, 43 Kensico Drive, Mt. Kisco, NY, 10549.
