GEORGE GANSSLE Obituary

George W. Ganssle of Nanuet passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2005 at Pascack Valley Hospital. He was 79. He was born in Brooklyn, on May 17, 1926 to George F. and Julia (George) Ganssle. Mr. Ganssle was married to Irene Mullarkey. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. George was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Spring Valley, belonged to the Third Order of St. Francis and St Anthony's Church Nocturnal Adoration Society. He worked as a welder for the Tenafly Welding Co. in Tenafly, NJ. George was a motorcycle enthusiast to the end, he rode his motorcycle whenever he could. He is survived by his wife Irene Ganssle, six daughters Irene Campbell of Boston, MA, Mary Patten of Hopkinton, MA, Rosemary Ganssle of Nanuet, NY, Frances Rossi of Hopedale, MA, Grace Ganssle of Northampton, MA and Mary Monico Perez of Houston, TX, two sons George Ganssle and John Ganssle of Nanuet, NY and 14 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Fr. Joseph Ganssle O.F.M. and sisters Margaret Slattery, Geraldine Ryan, Cecelia Friend. A son Joseph Ganssle, two sisters Mary Hayes and Agnes Quattrochi and a brother Robert Ganssle predeceased George. Friends may call Tuesday, June 21, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the "Family Owned" Joseph W. Sorce F.H. Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 10 am in St. Joseph's Church, Spring Valley. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet. JOSEPH W. SORCE F.H.
