Gerald Clark Obituary

Clark, Gerald "Bud"

Gerald "Bud" Clark, age 73, of Waccabuc, NY, died April 17, 2013. Bud was born August 5, 1939 in Yonkers to Gerald J. Clark and Mary Clark. He attended Fordham Prep, Fordham University and Fordham Law School and served as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs for the New York Stock Exchange. A resident of Lewisboro, NY for 39 years, Bud will be remembered for his deep commitment to his local community. He served as Chairman of the Town's Cable Advisory Committee from 1999 through 2003 where he negotiated the current Franchise Agreement that ensured residents on long driveways and private roads could obtain a cable connection at little or no cost. He was also Chairman of the Conservation Advisory Council in 2006 and 2007 where he worked with Joel Smith and the Town's maintenance Department to restore trails in the Old Fields Preserve (making a personal donation towards acquiring the land) and to begin the cleanup of the Levy preserve. An enthusiastic golfer, he was also active in the Westchester Golf Association Caddie Scholarship Fund.

Bud was a loving and devoted husband, father and son. He is survived by his mother, Mary Clark of Purdy's, NY, his wife, Meredith Clark of Waccabuc, NY, daughter, Jennifer Clark Donohoe and son-in-law, Richard Donohoe of South Salem, NY.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 11a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 7 Pound Ridge Rd., Bedford, NY. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Rosary Hill Home, 600 Linda Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532.

Bud was amazing man. Who did much more than this simple obituary would imply. A real pioneer in our financial institution. And LOVED by Many for his generosity and pious nature.

I remember. Buddy Clark from Fordham days. My late husband, Charlie Wynne and he were friends. I was from Crestwood, so we had many fun times at Amawamus, 42 Club. It was a long time ago but we had great fun. My sympathy to his family. Peggy Mitchell Sea Island, Ga.
