Dr. Backerman was my Dr. for over 10 years. He provided me so much insight into myself and helped me through a difficult time. Because of him I was able to learn so much about myself, and how it all provided an explanation to so many things in my past. Which in turn helped me in the present and with my future.
I tried calling him last year to schedule some more sessions but I couldn't leave a message. I suspected something was wrong.
I am so saddened by this news. He was a great man, a great dr, and a great friend. I will miss him dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

He was a wonderful man. His help, empathy and wisdom helped me more than he could ever know. I sent him an email yesterday to thank him for everything and I didn't hear back so I suspected something was wrong....sadly, it was true. I feel very saddened by the loss this world feels without him. Thank you Dr. B, you were truly a good friend. My condolences to his family and loved ones....
