Gilda Donovan Obituary

Donovan, Gilda D.

Gilda D. Donovan, a resident of Valley Cottage, NY died on Thursday, she was 85 years old. Gilda was born in New York City on May 5, 1926 to Philip and Virginia Fasano. Gilda has been a resident of Valley Cottage, NY since 1957. She was employed for many years as a teacher's aide in the Nyack Public School System. Gilda is survived by her husband Edward, two sons Scott and Lynn Donovan of Hawaii and Matthew and Vivianne Donovan of Pearl River and a daughter Linda Donovan of Valley Cottage. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Matthew and Amanda Donovan of Pearl River, William Maxwell of Valley Cottage, one great grandchild Jazmene Maxwell and a sister Geraldine Shanley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Paul's RC Church in Congers. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Rockland Lake, NY. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. in Nyack. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gilda's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 2 Jefferson Plaza, Suite 103, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.

Ed and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Cottage Rd will always sing with memories of your Mom from each night when she would call your names to come home for dinner. She is in Heaven now watching over you.
