Helen Louise Bonesteel Buteux

Suffern - Helen Louise Bonesteel Buteux, passed away September 14, 2021. She was 96.

Helen was born in Yonkers on April 9 1925 to Helen & Charles Bonesteel. She married Raymond Dalton Buteux Sr. on September 12 1946, eventually settling in Suffern, NY.

She is survived by five children: Raymond D. Buteux Jr. (Sally), Denise Sorace (John- deceased), Wendy Williams (Russell), Christopher Buteux (Lisa) and Matthew Buteux (Nicole); twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Helen was predeceased by her husband in 1967. She worked various jobs to support her children including account-keeping for the Rockland County Finance Department and the Ramapo Central School District. She was also the first Village Clerk for the newly formed Village of Montebello.

Helen raised her children to live as she did, with kindness and generosity to all whether family, friend or stranger.

Funeral services will be private. The family requests anyone who is so inclined to perform a random act of kindness in her memory.
