Iris E. Hill

Highland - Iris E. Hill, age 90, of Highland, NY, formerly of Croton-On-Hudson and Briarcliff Manor for many years, died after a brief illness on Saturday, April 21, 2018 surrounded by her beloved daughters. She was born November 4, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of the late Maurice and Florence Paul. She was the wife of the late Harold Hill, her loving husband of 34 years, who predeceased her March 27, 1986.

Iris was a graduate of Brooklyn College in 1949 and received her Master's Degree from Fairfield University in 1979. She was a member of Hadassah for many years.

She was a volunteer co-chair of the gift shop at Phelps Memorial Hospital for 26 years. Her hobbies included a variety of crafts. Iris had previously been employed by Greenwich Connecticut School District as a librarian.

She is survived by two daughters, Martha Hill of Kingston, NY and Diane Hill of New Windsor, NY.

Private Graveside Services were held at Beth Moses Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. The family requests donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Iris's memory.
