JAMES W. ALISE Jr.

James W. Alise, Jr. a lifelong Piermont resident died on July 10, 2008, at his home with his family at his side, he was 73 years old. James was born on October 31, 1934 in Piermont to James, Sr. and Carrie Alise. James was employed as a supervisor by Mini Grip in Orangeburg. He was a member of the Piermont Fire Dept. for 55 years, during most of this time he served as the Engineer and Chauffeur. James served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife Renee; son James and wife Donna; daughter Lori and husband John Hickey and four grandchildren; Christopher, Nicole and husband Michael Maushardt, John and Mya. Visiting is scheduled for Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. in Nyack. The Piermont Fire Dept. will hold a firematic service on Sunday evening at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 AM at St. John the Baptist RC Church in Piermont with burial to follow at Rockland Cemetery in Sparkill, NY.
