James Protus Obituary

James M. Protus passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ. He was 45. Son of Thomas J. Protus, Sr. and Margaret M. Ryan Protus, he was born in Nyack on February 16, 1971.
James was Director of Maintenance at The Salvation Army in Suffern. He is survived by his wife Ann M. Jones Protus of Monroe, his daughter Sydney Protus, of Monroe, his parents Thomas & Margaret Protus of Valley Cottage and his brother Thomas J. Protus, Jr. of Valley Cottage.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe, NY. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 121 Executive Drive, New Windsor, NY 12553 or to Sydney's college fund c/o the Protus family.
