John O'Connor Obituary
Pearl River - It is with great sadness the family of John "Jack" O'Connor announces his sudden passing on Friday, April 16, 2021. He was born in Astoria to John and Marie O'Connor 78 years ago. Jack is lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Kathy, nee Ronacher, and his children, Kellie and her husband Kevin Larkin and Sean and his wife Colleen O'Connor. Jack is fondly remembered by his six grandchildren, Makaela, Kaeleigh and Madilyn Larkin and Matthew, Ryan and Jack O'Connor. He will also be missed by his in laws Patricia Connolly and Maureen and James Connolly and Mark (U.M.) Ronacher and his cousins Joseph and Marianne Horan, James and Carmen Horan and many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jack was very involved in his community with the Ancient Order of Hibernians (his home away from home), Knights of Columbus, and the Emerald Society. Jack was an Aide to the Grand Marshal of the NYC St. Patrick's Day Parade in 1996 and then the Grand Marshal of the Pearl River St. Patrick's Day Parade in March of 2003.
Jack will be waked on Friday, April 23rd from 4:00pm - 7:00pm at Wyman Fisher in Pearl River, New York 10965. The funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, April 24th at 10:00 am at St. Margaret of Antioch in Pearl River, New York.
In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude, United Hospice of Rockland and/or the Meals on Wheels program.
