JOSEPH ELKO

Joseph Elko a resident of Rye Brook, NY died December 26, 2000. He was 80 and born September 21, 1920 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was raised and educated in Pittsburgh. Mr. Elko served in the US Army during World War II in Germany as a Military Police Officer. He was married December 12, 1945 at Saint John's Church in White Plains, NY to Beverly Barrett. Mrs. Elko died August 31, 1991. He was a retired carpenter with Suburban Carpenters Union in Hawthorne, NY. He was a parishioner of the Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester. He is survived by his nieces, Marguerite Spears and Kim Soulias of Mount Kisco, NY, Michele Dugan of Brewster, NY and nephew Charles Soulias of South Salem, NY. Besides his wife he was predeceased by his nephew Michael Soulias. Visitation will be at Craft Memorial Home Inc today December 28, from 5-9 PM. Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of Mercy Church Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY on Friday December 29 at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY.
