JOSEPH GRISANTI Obituary

Joseph R. Grisanti, DDS ABO FACD, beloved husband to Rosalie for 59 years, devoted father to Andrea and Diane and cherished grandfather to Joanna and William died on December 1, after a short illness at Community Hospital in Dobbs Ferry, New York. A giant in the Yonkers community, orthodontist for 35 years to thousands of Yonkers children and adults, devoted servant to the City's needy causes as a life-long member and past president of the East Yonkers Kiwanis Club; recipient of numerous community service awards. A leader in his profession with Board certifications and teaching and pro bono treatment contributions to hospitals and universities throughout the New York and New Jersey metro area: pioneer in the Begg method of orthodontic treatment. Avid fly fisherman and Alaskan outdoorsman. Educated at Manhattan College, Columbia University, and New York University Dental School. "Always in pursuit of all that life could give. Farewell". Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, Bronxville between the hours of 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial, St. Joseph's Church, Bronxville on Monday, December 4 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or St. Cabrini Nursing Home, 115 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry, NY 10522.
