Joseph Pugni Obituary
Joseph Pugni 85, a longtime resident of Valhalla, NY passed away on Sept. 3, 2016. He was born on March 29, 1931 to the late Rudolph and Mary (nee Mazzochi) Pugni in Riverdale, NY. Joseph was predeceased by his loving wife Rosemarie (nee Greco) Pugni in 1989. Joseph graduated Manhattan Prep High School in 1948 and attended Suny at Farmingdale until he graduated in 1951. Joseph was a proud member of the Board of Directors for the Knollwood Country Club where he was a longtime member and avid golfer. He was the Owner of Bradhurst Site Construction in Valhalla, NY. More than his professional accomplishments he prided himself on his seven children. He is survived by his caring daughter Christine (Christopher) Madonia of Somers, NY, his sons Joseph R. Pugni Jr. of Valhalla, NY, Mark (Joanne) Pugni of Mahopac, NY, Richard (Angela) Pugni of Somers, NY, Gary (Joanne) Pugni of Briarcliff, NY, John (Christina) Pugni, of Valhalla, NY, and Gregory Pugni of Somers, NY. Also survived by his thirteen cherished grandchildren. Predeceased by his one brother Dante Pugni. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home, on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, NY on Wednesday 10 AM. Interment, Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY to follow.
