KARL KILB Obituary

KILB, KARLKarl Kilb of Pearl River died on Sunday, February 27, 2005 at the age of 66 from early onset Alzheimer's. Karl was born on January 2, 1939 in New York City to Fanny and Karl Kilb. He served his country in the United States Army for two years in Germany. Karl was a graduate of the City University of New York with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. He was employed at New York Telephone and AT&T for over 38 years, retiring in 1996. Karl was a Lector, Holy Name Society Member and Boy Scout Leader at St. Anthony's Parish. He was a long distance runner, completing many mini marathons and over 15 New York, New Jersey and Boston Marathons. Karl was Past Grand Knight of the Triune Council Knights of Columbus. He was an avid Yankees' baseball and Giants' football fan. Karl enjoyed playing softball, including the senior league and working with wood. Karl is survived by his wife, Janet; son, Karl; daughter-in-law, Alexis; grandsons: Karl and Trevor; son, Gary; daughter-in-law, Jennifer; granddaughters: Jessica and Jacqueline; daughter, Justine; son-in-law, Brendan Monahan; grandson, James; sons: Kenneth and Kevin. He is also survived by his sister, Inge Pflueger and her family of the Bronx, NY. Friends may call Wednesday, March 2, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the "Family Owned" Joseph W. Sorce F.H. Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 10 am in St. Anthony's Church, 36 West Nyack Rd., Nanuet. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet. JOSEPH W. SORCE F.H.
