Kevin Feeney Obituary
Chester - Kevin Owen Feeney of Chester, NY, age 50, passed away on October, 3, 2020. He was born to Owen & Rita Feeney (June) on September 12, 1970.
He graduated from North Rockland HS and then SUNY Brockport with a BA in Education. He taught for the past 22 years in the East Ramapo CSD. He was currently a Physical Education teacher at Ramapo High School.
He was married to Lori Feeney (Gold) for 21 years and has two beautiful children; Conor Owen, 20 and Madison June, 17. They were the light of his life. He was very proud of them.
He is survived by his wife, Lori, children, Madison, Conor and his girlfriend Victoria, His mother Rita, brother Michael and his wife Kerry, nephew Ryan and niece Brooke. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Mary, brothers-in-law, Dominick and his wife Sandy, Walter, John and his wife Jean, nieces Alexandra and Samantha, his Aunt Lynne & Uncle John, Digger & Peggy, cousins; Joe, John, Jacqueline, Jenne, Michael & Matthew. He is also survived by his friends; Michael Murphy and his wife Julie, and all the Murphy's, Mac, Ryan and Eric, in addition to his favorite dog; Dozer and not so favorite dog; Sadie (aka Lori's dog).
People describe him in many ways - caring, funny, intelligent, giving, kind, but I just describe him as my soulmate. My incredible, handsome, beautiful husband and the most amazing, loving father! Kevin died doing what he loved to do...going for very long bike rides through the back roads of Orange County. He was an athlete to the utmost degree. Anyone who knew him would agree.
His sense of humor was unique in its own, on his 50th birthday he rode for 100 miles and called it the Half Century, Century ride. Kevin will be truly missed by all that knew him.
He was predeceased by his father; Owen, maternal grandparents; Vernon & Veronica, paternal grandparents; Vincent & Mary.
Family will receive guests on Thursday, October 8th from 3-7pm at Michael J Higgins Funeral Home, 73 North Liberty Dr. Stony Point, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 9th at 10am at Immaculate Conception Church in Stony Point, NY. Followed by a Private Cremation.
