Kyriacos Lambros Obituary

Lambros, Kyriacos (Charlie)

Kyriacos (Charlie) Lambros died on September 29th six days after his 82nd birthday. He passed away peacefully at home with his family in attendance. He emigrated from his native island Cyprus at the age of 18.

He became a contractor, building housing developments and strip malls in Rockland County, New York when this area was experiencing great growth. Retiring to Marco Island in 2002 where he pursued his passion for gardening, he provided fruits and vegetables to all his friends. He was a Renaissance man; his curiosity was boundless. He loved flying his plane, cooking his Greek specialties for his grandkids and singing in the choir. He believed in God, honesty, integrity and excellence. His sense of humor touched many. He is survived by his adoring wife Sophie, two loving sons, Dimitros (Tammie), Peter and grandchildren Nicoletta, Julianna, Kristina, Rachael, Stephanie, Kyriacos, Nicholas and Gabriella. He is dearly loved by cousins Nicki and Helen whose father Dmitrios, brought him to America. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nicoetta and children, Evangeli, Helen and Larry.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, October 1, at Hodges Josberger Funeral Home, Marco Island. The funeral service was held at St. Katherine's Greek Orthodox Church, Airport - Pulling Rd., Naples on Wednesday, October 2, 2013.
