Lillian Carrie Obituary
West Nyack, NY - Lillian A. Carrie of West Nyack passed away peacefully on February 23, 2018 with her family at her side. She was born on June 15, 1927 in Yonkers, NY to George and Anna (Timko) Yurcho.
After raising her daughters, she returned to the workforce, retiring from the Rockland County Department of Social services in 1991. During her retirement she was involved with the West Nyack Senior Citizens group and enjoyed traveling, ceramics and gardening.
Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Wallace, and is survived by four daughters: Lynne (Joseph) Prokop, Donna (Joseph) Monacelli, Deborah (James) McCarter and Elizabeth (Thomas) McKeirnan. She is survived by her sister, Veronica Piekarz, and sister-in-law, Charlotte Guderian. Cherished grandmother of Chet, Jessica, Andrew, Michael, Allyson,
Melissa, Patrick, Kyle, Connor, Brendan and Kevin. Beloved great-grandmother of Ella, Declan and Reese. Lillian cherished her family and was caring and compassionate to all who knew her.
Family will receive visitors on Tuesday, February 27th from 4-8pm at the Joseph W. Sorce F.H. Inc., 728 West Nyack Rd., West Nyack, NY (845) 358 - 4433 www.sorcefuneralhome.com
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 28th at 10:00 am in St. Anthony's Shrine Church, 36 West Nyack Rd., Nanuet, NY. Burial to follow at the Frederick Loescher Veteran Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY.
In Lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian's name can be made to Hi-Tor Animal Care Center, Inc., 65 Firemans Memorial Drive, Pomona, NY10970.
