Lily Mayer, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, at White Plains Hospital. Lily was a member of St. Bartholomew's Church in White Plains, New York where she had been once been involved in many voluntary activities including the church Vestry. During World War II, she served in the British Army A.T.S. where she achieved the rank of sergeant. Born August 14, 1922 in Liverpool, England, Lily Mayer was the daughter of the late William and Mary-Jane Gale. She is survived by her children Elaine DeMarco of Thornwood, New York and Robert Mayer of Nesconset, New York. She is also survived by her grandchildren Richard Mayer, Christopher Mayer, Joseph Demarco, and Elisa DeMarco. She is predeceased by her husband Rudolph Mayer and a sister, Marjorie Ramsden. Family and Friends may call from 2 PM through 4 PM, and 7 PM through 9 PM on Friday November 9th at St. Bartholomew's Church, 82 Prospect Street, White Plains, New York. Funeral Services will also be conducted at St. Bartholomew's Church on Saturday, November 10th at 11 AM. Memorial donations may be made to St. Bartholomew's Church.
