LUCY MACCHI Obituary

Lucy Macchi, a life long Dobbs Ferry resident died October 1, 2010. She was the daughter of Saverio and Marianna Ciancio. For 33 years Lucy worked, owned, and operated Sam's Restaurant in Dobbs Ferry. She later worked as the receptionist at Dobbs Ferry Hospital. She is survived by her sons Michael (Linda) and Tommy (Trisha), brothers Frank and Meechie, sister Marie (Gino) Gelardi, grandchildren Joseph, Alyssa, Michelle and Tori and her beloved companion Sal. Lucy had a great love for the village of Dobbs Ferry, the people who lived here and especially the Dobbs Ferry Hospital. Her love of family was boundless and never ending. She took great pride in her grandchildren and their accomplishments and most of all she loved her two sons. Lucy was predeceased by her husbands, Michael Macchi and Andy Ondek. Mass of the Resurrection 9:30AM Monday, Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Dobbs Ferry. Visiting 7-9PM Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9PM Sunday, EdwardsDowdle Funeral Home.
