Margaret Kelley Obituary

Sister Margaret James Kelley, O.S.U., died on December 29, 2000 at the Ursuline Marian Residence, New Rochelle. Born in Boston, MA on November 28, 1914 to Margaret and James Kelley, she entered the Ursuline Novitiate at Beacon, NY in 1939 and professed vows in 1942. Sister Margaret James received a Master's Degree from Teachers's College of the City of Boston. She taught Secretarial Studies for ten years at the College of New Rochelle. She also assisted in the Child Study Center, the Treasurer's Office, and the Community Infirmary. For several years, Sister was devoted to the care of a sick member of her family and volunteered in Blessed Sacrament Parish in Jamaica Plains, MA. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Mary Kelley, and her brother, Reverend James Kelley, CSSR. Her funeral will be on Tuesday, January 2, 2001 at 5:00 pm in the College of New Rochelle Chapel. Visitation will be at the Iselin House, 31 Hemlock Place at the Convent of St. Teresa's the same day from 2 - 4:30 pm. LLOYD MAXCY & SONS 16 Shea Pl., New Rochelle (914)632-2700
