Marie Gelsomino Obituary
Marie Gelsomino 95, of Valhalla, NY passed away peacefully on Mar. 10, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Marie was born on Oct. 18, 1919 to the late Joseph and Rachel (nee Palladino) Macaluso in Bronx, NY. Marie was predeceased by her devoted husband Michael Gelsomino in 2001. She was also predeceased by her loving sisters Rose Giuliano, Anna Conte, Josephine Fiorito and Jenny Staniscia as well as her brothers George, Angelo, Peter and Joseph Macaluso. Marie is survived by her caring children Frances Grimaldi (Phillip); Ralph Gelsomino (Paula); Joseph Gelsomino (Vera); Donna DePaolis (Henry) and daughter-in-law Laura Gelsomino. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Phillip Grimaldi; Michael Grimaldi (Jo Ann); Cheryl Ballone (Michael); Jennifer Gelsomino (Tara Tindall); Michael Gelsomino; Christopher DePaolis and Jonathan DePaolis as well as her four great-grandchildren Ryan and Emily Grimaldi and Mia and Cara Ballone. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday from 5-9PM. Funeral Mass, Saturday 10AM at the Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla, NY. Entombment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY to follow.
